The General Social Counselling Service is characterised by a wide range of topics and is happy to serve as a first point of contact. Questions about financing your studies, employment during your studies or health insurance can arise, as can questions about social benefits or family benefits. In one or sometimes several consultations, we will work with you to find solutions to your personal, study-related, social or economic problems.
Among other things, we advise within the scope of our possibilities on:
- Student financing
- Social benefits
- Family benefits
- Leave of absence
- DSW hardship fund
Counselling is available in German and English.
In all cases, counselling is free of charge, confidential and independent of third parties. Social counselling is subject to a duty of confidentiality.
In the video we answer questions such as:
- What is social counselling?
- What is psychosocial counselling?
- What concerns do students come to us with?
- How can you reach us?
