We would like to point out that on 13 July 2022, the Saxon State Parliament passed the Act on the Transparency of Information in the Free State of Saxony (Saxon Transparency Act - SächsTranspG), which came into force on 01 January 2023. According to Section 1 of this law, every person has a claim against bodies subject to transparency obligations to the publication of the information specified in Section 8 of the law and to access to information, unless an exception applies (transparency claim).
As soon as the Saxon Transparency Platform is established on the Internet, at the latest from 1 January 2026, bodies subject to transparency obligations will also be obliged to publish the information specified in Section 8 of the Saxon Transparency Act on this platform.
