BAföG application

BAföG benefits require a written application. Funding is provided from the month in which the application is received by the BAföG office - at the earliest, of course, from the start of training. Retroactive funding is excluded. This application can be made informally, but the legally required forms must be submitted later. In order to avoid queries and thus delays in approval, applications must be completed carefully and in full.

Applications for further funding must be submitted at least 2 months before the end of the current authorisation period (BWZ) - preferably even earlier!
