Who can take part?
All those who Full-time compulsory education fulfilled have and at least 18 years old are eligible for the Federal Volunteer Service. Gender, nationality or the type of school-leaving qualification do not play a role.
The Federal Volunteer Service is aimed in particular at people who
- want to work practically after school or university
- want to bridge the gap until they start their studies or training
- do not yet know exactly which career direction to take and would like to familiarise themselves with new areas of work
- are employed but would like to reorient themselves
- want to gain work experience without pressure
- want to do something for other people as part of a time-out
- want to get involved for the common good after their working life.
What can I expect?
- Insight into exciting fields of work
- BFD is possible full-time (35 hours/week) or part-time (at least 25 hours/week)
- Monthly pocket money and travel allowance / mobility allowance
- Paid social security in pension, accident, health, long-term care and unemployment insurance
- Personal support and professional guidance
- Seminar days for personal development (compulsory)
- qualified certificate at the end of the service

- Willingness to take on social responsibility
