No matter which country in the world you go to on holiday, you will never see the real life there. Tourists are led to believe in a world that does not exist. No wonder, after all, they have paid to be well entertained.
But if you really want to experience the differences between faraway countries and your own culture, what views prevail there, how traditional food smells and tastes, what dances are danced and what people laugh about, you have to travel to the faraway country for a little longer, for example for a study or work placement.
Only after considering the inhabitants, the culture and the country do you realise quite quickly that the foreign students who come to us are doing just that: they have set off on a journey to get to know us, our culture or even our food alongside their studies. They often didn't know what to expect and many of them will have set off with an anxious heart.
Let us help them to settle in quickly and understand our country. Let us offer them a hand of friendship. Because those who understand each other well build bridges of friendship.
