Student culture is an important part of life at the university, which you organise yourself. The Studentenwerk Freiberg supports you with advice and assistance.

There are many opportunities on campus and in the city to switch off from the stress of studying. The Studentenwerk provides student cultural initiatives with rooms at favourable conditions as well as technical and organisational support. As cultural events often cost more than they bring in, the Studentenwerk also helps to finance them.

The cultural activities of the Studentenwerk Freiberg focus on supporting student organisations that are committed to culture. Some of the Studentenwerk's premises are available at a low rent for the organisation of events or regular meetings. All technical, personnel and organisational requirements can also be used. The Studentenwerk Freiberg also contributes to the financing of some of the programmes.

Applications for financial support for cultural events can be submitted to the Studentenwerk by any student association or individual student. Income and planned expenditure as well as the amount of the requested grant should be in a reasonable proportion. Once the application has been received, the Studentenwerk Freiberg will check whether the project is worthy of funding and to what extent a contribution is possible.
